Rules

  1. Seating assignment determined by card draw.
  2. All chips must be visible displayed at all times. Players’ highest chip denomination cannot be hidden at any time.
  3. Cards must be in front of chips at all times.
  4. One player per hand:
    • Players are not allowed to call possibilities on board.
    • Players may not discuss their cards or anyone else’s cards that have been mucked or are live.
    • No coaching players.
    • No calling players’ hands when you are not in play.
    • Players may not show live or mucked cards during hand.
  5. Players who are not in the hand may not discuss hand in play until hand is over.
  6. No players are allowed to expose cards during a hand to anyone at table verbally or physically.
  7. No rabbit hunting unless okayed by entire table. Rabbit hunting is when a player looks at the remaining undealt cards to see what they would have received if they had stayed in the hand.
  8. All-in players MUST turn cards face-up at showdown along with other players in the hand (cards cannot be mucked).
  9. When raising, a player must put amount of raise out in one motion or state “raise”. Must must be made in one motion or state amount raising. Ex. If players says raise 20, and puts in 50, they must take back 30.
  10. No string betting. String betting is when a player puts out chips in multiple motions without announcing the total amount of the bet or raise.
  11. No raising or announcing raising out of turn. Person raising out of turn is obligated to put raise in pot unless raised higher by player in position before them. Then they have option to fold, raise or call.
  12. Players’ not at a table during turn will be mucked.
  13. Players cannot touch other players’ chips or cards at any time.
  14. Players cannot mark/bend cards or chips.
  15. Any dispute will be decided by the dealer.
  16. Payouts can be split, but place cannot be split. (Ex. There will be 1 first place winner even if 1st and 2nd split the payout.)
  17. In the event of ties, stats will be used as tie-breakers in the following order (total points, payouts, average place, final tables, KOs)
  18. To be eligible for final payouts, you must have attended at least 8 games.
  19. Breaks are scheduled every 6 blinds (2 hours). Players can leave to smoke, go to bathroom etc. at anytime, but cards will be mucked while they are away.
  20. Penalties for rules broken are as follows:
    • Verbal warning
    • Miss hand penalty: Player will sit out 1 hand per player at table. Ex. 7 players at table = sit out 7 hands.
    • Disqualified
    • Beheading
  21. In the event that multiple players are unable to attend a certain game, we will make our best effort to reschedule in the hopes that more people will be able to attend.

Point Structure

  • Show Up: 3 points
  • Place: If you are 1st out you get 1 point, 2nd out = 2 points etc. This means that whoever is first will get points equal to the number of players (i.e. 20 players = 20 points, 19 players = 19 points etc.).
  • Final Table: 5 points
  • Top spot bonuses:
    • 1st place: 8 extra points
    • 2nd place: 4 extra points
    • 3rd place: 2 extra points
    • 4th place: 1 extra point
  • Total Points: For each tournament, each player will get the total of the points awarded above (show up + place + final table + top spot). No Shows receive 0 points.
  • Drop Lowest: Each players’ lowest scoring game will be dropped. The results of this will not be evident until at least two games have been played.
